P38 Aero scale model study
In 1998, Benoit de Clercq was offering to collectors a first scale model study, made out of aluminium and noble materials, the P38 A.
This beautiful piece , created with great care in the DE CLERCQ's prototypes workshop, was numbered, signed and dated.
Made in limited series, with only 200 copies, it would soon conquer the world and join the most prestigious collections over the five continents.
And then, when the 200th copy had left the workshop, it soon distinguished itself in famous auctions sales, such as those of Christie's in London.
The following years, two other style studies were presented, the P38C lowered coupé, and then the P38R record breaker.
The P38 Aero is the fourth opus of the series.
Its style, inspired by the Art Deco, pays tribute to the great French bodywork craftsmanship of the thirties, regarded then as the "haute couture" of the automobile, and more particularly to the legendary 1936 Bugatti Atlantic ...
